History of Faith Community Church Pentecostal (Inc.)

In the year of 2000, in the month of August, the Faith Community Church

(Pentecostal) Inc. was organized. Several months before, Youth Pastor Caleb Gordon

from Mt Nebo Holy Church was given permission by Bishop Larry E. Williams to assists

Bishop Leon Harper from the Apostolic Faith Church of God (AFCOG) to preach two

Sundays per month. After going to the AFCOG, Youth Pastor Caleb Gordon organized a

Wednesday night Youth Outreach. Along with assistance of Sis Marian Jackson and

Deacon Jackson (from the Mt Calvary Pentecostal Faith Church for All People). The

children in that Walbrook /Fulton/ Pennsylvania Avenues needs were great, but God

provided. So many children came that the church had to request the assistance of the

Salvation Army for food. So the children were fed spiritually as well as naturally. To God

be the Glory. Out of this outreach a church was formed. The first real project of the new

church was to acquire a van to bring those who did not have transportation to church.

Many souls were added to the church. The church had to move. The Lord showed us

favor through the Seventh Day Adventist Church. We moved into the old Sharon Seventh

Day Adventist Church located in the 1200 block of Calvert Street. In this church the

Lord bless us and more souls were added to the church. We had our first baptism service

and over 20 souls were baptized. We had to move again and our present temporary

(United in Christ SDA) location is 3401 Old York Road, Baltimore, MD 21218
